Firmins Lane Wetland and Concrete Open Drain
Ace Earthmoving was contracted by Latrobe City Council to construct Firmins Lane Wetlands and Concrete Open Drain to treat stormwater from a from the heavy industrial precinct.
The project consisted of:
Stripping off 150mm Toposil from 41,885m2Excavation of 27,080 cubic metres of material and disposal off siteConstruction of 9 drainage structures ranging from box culverts to concrete wiers Construction of 2912m2 of 150mm reinforced concrete access pavementConstruction of 3862m2 of 150mm reinforced concrete open drain Supply and installation of 1786m2 of geoweb reinforced pavement Construction of 211m of 1000 x 500 of rock gabion wallsConstruction of 74m of 1000 x 1500 of rock gabion wallsExcavation and supply of rock beaching to new 2521m2 sediment pondTopsoiling of 30,122m2 with 150mm of topsoil and establish grass cover
